The following is preliminary information that might still change until beginning of 2013.

There will be no centrally organized social program on Monday, March 11, 2013, but you can individual tour with Stuttgart Marketing GmbH. An option for alternative starting points of the tours is available at little extra cost.
Please note that all museums in Stuttgart are closed on Mondays (except for the Schweinemuseum).

Stadtspaziergang - pedestrian tour around the city center

The Stuttgart city center is very active. Lively shopping streets are guarded by two large castle complexes and the spacious "Schlossgarten" with its sculptures, fountains and lakes remains close wherever you go. The Schlossplatz in the middle of the city, bordered by impressive pillar facades, parks, the baroque "new castle" and the vanguard front of the museum of arts creates a fascinating atmosphere and surprises visitors with its unique flair.
During this beautiful tour you will learn a lot worth knowing about the exciting cultural history of Stuttgart.

Duration: 1.5 to 2 hours

From 31 persons on a second city guide will be employed.

Stadtrundfahrt Stuttgart - kompakt / City tour Stuttgart - compact

A Stuttgart Marketing GmbH city guide will meet you at the tourist information bus stop opposite the Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof (central station) at Hotel am Schlossgarten (Schillerstraße 23) and join you in your coach (a coach would have to be organized). What follows will be an entertaining, informative two hours tour around the city along the downtown culture area, covering the most important places of interest in Stuttgart such as the state gallery, the opera, the state parliament ...
Great past, seminal contemporary architecture and futuristic new buildings: Stuttgart is rich in interesting opposites.
In the historic city center you will take a short walking tour around the old and the new castle. After this, the tour will take you up to the rim of the Stuttgart caldera on streets with beautiful panoramic view, past the famous Weissenhof settlement to the Killesberg and back to the central station in the city center. Subsequently you will go back to the starting point via Weinsteige, Villa Reitzenstein and the TV tower. The tour ends in the Stuttgart city center.

The tour can be extended to 2.5 - 3 hours to include a visit of the TV tower, explaining the tower and the view you will have from the platform.

Architecture tour - Stuttgart's modern architecture
